Description

This is also is a easy effect to use. It's requires minimal experience with water and land but requires lots of experience of finding the right surface maps.

2. Black Rays

Description

Similar to the regular rays. An amazing effect only Terragen can provide. This effect requires both clouds and light experience.

One of the impossible effect in the Terragen history.This effect requires both Terragen and Photoshop experience.

4. Collaboration

Example: Collab::Tides Of Enlightenment (By *Blackheart6004 & ~ sbrooden)

Description

Two minds. One stunning results. A terragen collaboration is really easy to do actually. This effect effects both users of these 4 sections that they are going to pick:

1. Land
2. Water
3. Sky and Lighting
4. Camera Positions & Orientations

The skills and experience of each users will vary the results. And the only way to send the user your Teragen file over the internet is via E-MAILING ONLY.

There is no tutorials to use this kind of effect. I'll show you.

A terragen collaboration is fun to do but hard to compete. I will use my collaboration with ~sbrooden as an example. Ok, first I was chatting with sbrooden over msn messenger. We decided to do a collab together. I pick the land and water while he picks the sky and the camera. I open up Terragen and getting to work. I've used a few surface maps on my land and a few waves settings in my water. After this, I save my Terragen file and send it to sbrooden on messenger. He then open the file, complete the sky and the camera settings, render, open up in ps to do a few editing, and it's done. He then goes on DeviantArt and submit it.

This is how a Terragen collaboration is done in a few minutes.

5. !!EXCLUSIVE!! - Sun Bliss

Description

An unknow effect happen in Terragen. This is the most astounding effect that I've ever seen. Not sure what skills are required for this one but you LOTS of experience with the clouds, light, and atmospheric parameters settigns.

Tutorial link: Theres none avaliable at this time. But I recommended by going through JavaJones tips:

"Render time of about 50 minutes. No post work at all. With some more time to refine, I'm sure I could duplicate it much more closely in terms of the fine details. It's obvious the water reflection is stronger, for example. I think that's due to a slightly stronger sun strength, balanced by heavier clouds/more cloud darkening/darker shadows. I also used normal atmospheric and cloud accuracy, and didn't do any downsampling, which was pretty obviously done due to the quality of the water in the original. But I think it's pretty close, considering."

6. Bliss and Terrain

Description

Similar to the regular bliss effect but only harder. They say it's a struggle to get a bliss when showing a terrain. But it's not. One trick that I use is put the camera zoom to 1.0. This effect requires experience with the land, clouds, and atmospheric parameters settings.
