Terragen Special Effects Overview Pt.1

Here is the list of the commonly know effect that might occur in Terragen. It might be either a bliss, a storm, or a overhang. Who knows? The guide will show you the prologue of each. Btw, all images are by most artist of whom I know on DeviantArt and mostly on Terragen community sites. Also includes direct tutorial links on most effects. Some images and tutorials requires Terragen v0.9 NOT v0.8. You can get the Terragen upgrade from v0.8 to v0.9 for Windows at it's official site: Planetside - Home Of Terragen

1. Overhangs

Example: Seclusion (By * johnwarren)

Description

One of the most impossible effects to make in Terragen history. This effects requires lots of terrain usage and also experience with surface maps and textures.

2. Low Beams Trick

Example: Low Beams Trick

Description

Perhaps you saw already times such pictures, use this trick around the scene with sunbeams to revalue, which disappear briefly over the soil again, or around a strange irregular fog here charms, which does not correspond however to the famous "weird blue glow" effect.

3. Apocalypse

Example: Walk with me no more - wallies (By *alyn)

Description

The example above is what apocalypse look like in Terragen. This effect need HIGH experience of Terragen and PhotoShop. Commonly known as Terragen+Spacescape renders. Check out * alyn's gallery for more examples.

4. Fog, Mist, And Rays

a. Fog & Mist

Description

Fog and mist are an excellent element that can be added to the Terragen world. This effect requires experience while using the Simple Haze parameters.

b. Glow (Not Showned)

Description
Glows are an excellent element that can be added to the Terragen world. This effect requires experience while using the Atmospheric blue parameters.

c. Rays

Description

Rays are an excellent element that can be added to the Terragen world. This effects requires experience using the Clouds parameters.

5. Bliss

Example: Ethereal Touch (By*stotty)

Description

One of the most amazing effects that only Terragen can provide. The effects requires both clouds and atmospheric experience to produce this kind of effect.

6. Falling Sky

Example: The Test Final Stage (By *Blackheart6004)

Description

The so-called "the sky is falling down" (taken from the comic book "Asterix") is an amazing effect that only Terragen can provide. The effect requires both clouds, light, and atmospheric experience to create this one of a kind effect.

7 Fireworks Effect

Example: Due to artist protection, there are no thumbnails except for the link: firework terragen

Description

A fireworks effect in terragen. Similar to the falling sky effect. I also want to thanks revenant71 for the example image.

8. Planet Atmosphere

Example: Terragen Outer Atmosphere (By ~mecanabis)

Description

In the Tutorial a earthsimilar planet was provided.
Naturally colors and other attitudes can be changed
in order to represent a strange planet.
