Brand new Terragen 2 render after my long-ass break!
Please note that this is NOT the final render of the preview I've added to my journal a couple of days ago. This render is just for fun and to get back into the Terragen community!
I'm always a fan of "Above the Clouds" technique so I decided to create one with overhangs! Thanks to the Twist and Shear shader, I can do these the easy way (Goodbye Pixel Aspect Ratio in TG1)!
I tried my best for a decent render. Thanks for viewing and enjoy!
Technical Details
Terrain: Power Fractal terrain with Twist and Shear shader for overhangs.
Surface: "Emboss" Snow shader courtesy of Lucio from Planetside forums
Clouds/Atmosphere: One Cumulus cloud layer with exceeded coverage depth to give more "Above the Clouds" realism. Fake Dark power to atmosphere for ND Grad effect.

I applaud you on your work. Using stuff like this takes a very bright mind and a lot of patience. This image is absolutely stunning, and I love the detail you have put into everything. My only suggestion would be to maybe insert a sun or moon into the shot to add some mystery and mystique to the piece. However, this alone is amazing work.
TG2 clouds, still hard to beat. I have not used TG2 in over 2 years!!! I don't even remember how to manipulate the colors correctly or even populate the trees!!
AAAAAHHH that's how you can do that...I was trying to figure out how to do some of these very formations...add a little redish orange and you can have the terrain of the new Star Trek Vulcan.
